Kaego Financing
African students · International education

Your global education journey, financed.

Kaego helps African students plan, apply and fund their way into international universities — one connected journey, not three.

The problem

Choosing where to study, applying, and paying for it are usually three separate problems. And even after admission, funding can still be the thing that stops a student from enrolling.

The Kaego journey

One connected path, from first idea to enrollment.

The Kaego difference

We don't just understand the loan. We understand the journey.

Kaego already operates inside international education. Financing is built as a continuation of that — not a lending product bolted onto an unrelated company.

Our approach

A smarter approach to education financing.

We're developing technology designed to look beyond a single traditional credit signal.

Student profile + Education goals + Institution & program + Career trajectory + Financial profile + Supporting information

Kaego assessmentFinancing decision

These are product and technology concepts we're actively building, not proven outcomes.

Future Earnings Potential

An underwriting concept we're developing that considers factors relevant to a student's future ability to repay — academic trajectory, institution, program and destination — alongside financial information.

Reference & guarantor integrity

An approach to assessing the quality and reliability of the references or guarantors supporting an application, rather than treating them as a formality.

Dynamic, risk-based pricing

An approach to determining financing terms based on each applicant's assessed risk, rather than a single fixed offer for everyone.

Financing

$2,500—
$10,000

Financing designed around your education journey.

Current working product range, under development and subject to eligibility, assessment, applicable terms and product availability. Not every applicant qualifies for the same amount.

What it's intended for

Eligible enrollment-related education expenses, such as tuition and deposits.

How the amount is set

Based on your assessed eligibility, funding requirement and applicable terms — not a flat figure.

What's not yet finalized

Interest rate, fees and full repayment terms. You'll see clear terms before accepting any offer.

Who it's for

Built for everyone in the decision.

Students

For African students exploring or pursuing international education — from those still choosing a destination to those who already have admission and need financing to move forward.

Families

For families and sponsors looking for a structured, transparent way to support international education costs.

Education partners

For institutions and ecosystem partners looking for ways to help reduce funding barriers for qualified students.

Responsible financing

Built with responsible financing in mind.

Clear

Financing information — what it covers, how it's assessed, what's expected of you — is communicated clearly, before you apply.

Assessment-based

Applications are subject to defined eligibility and risk criteria. No two applicants are treated as identical.

Responsible

The product is being designed with responsible financing principles in mind, from underwriting through repayment.

Human

Students have access to support from the Kaego team throughout the process — not just an automated decision.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

What is Kaego Financing?
Kaego Financing is the financing arm being built by Kaego to help address the funding barrier that can prevent African students from moving through the international education journey. It's built on Kaego's broader work helping students with school matching, admissions, visas and travel.
Do I need an admission offer before I start with Kaego?
No. Kaego's broader education platform can help you navigate the journey from the very beginning — choosing a destination, matching to universities and programs, and applying. Financing isn't available at that stage: once you've secured admission through Kaego, you can explore financing if you're eligible.
How much financing can I receive?
The current working product range is approximately $2,500–$10,000. This is a working range under development, subject to eligibility, assessment, applicable financing terms and product availability — not a guaranteed amount available to every applicant.
Who can apply?
Kaego Financing is designed for African students who have secured admission through Kaego and have a funding requirement. Broad eligibility factors include your confirmed institution and program, funding requirement, and financial profile. Meeting general criteria does not guarantee approval.
Is Kaego Financing already lending?
Kaego Financing is an early-stage product that is being developed and launched. We have not yet originated loans. Availability, financing terms and timelines depend on the applicable financing structure and lending partners, which are still being finalized. We'll be transparent about status as the product moves toward launch.

Your global education journey shouldn't stop at the funding gap.

Whether you're just starting to explore your options or already working toward enrollment, Kaego is building the infrastructure to help you move forward.
